About Manouchka Elefant

Hey! I’m Manouchka Elefant—a digital marketing expert, entrepreneur, and mom navigating the beautiful chaos of balancing family and business.

In 2020, I launched my marketing agency to help businesses thrive online. But when I became a mom in 2023, everything shifted. My business model no longer aligned with the life I wanted for my family. As I navigated the challenges of entrepreneurship and motherhood, I realized how little practical support exists for mompreneurs—women striving to build successful businesses while raising children.

That’s when I discovered my true calling: empowering mompreneurs to thrive!

Drawing from my own experiences and the lessons I’ve learned along the way, I’ve created a podcast, mastermind, and coaching program to provide the tools, strategies, and supportive community that moms like you deserve.

My Journey

Born and raised in Geneva, I’ve built a career that spans global marketing, entrepreneurship, and business leadership. After living in Singapore managing social media for Swiss embassies across Asia-Pacific and launching my own ventures, I returned to Switzerland in 2020.

Now, I live in the countryside with my partner, our son, and our Jack Russell Terrier, fully focused on empowering mompreneurs to thrive in business and life.

Why I’m Here for You

I know the struggle of wanting to grow your business while feeling pulled in a million directions. I’ve been there. That’s why I created Hey Boss Mama—to give mompreneurs like us the clarity, support, and confidence to make our goals a reality.

Hey Boss Mama is a movement. It’s for women like you and I—determined, ambitious, and ready to grow. Together, we’ll turn your big dreams into actionable, manageable steps and create a thriving business that fits your life.

“So, what do you do?” You know the answer. You’ve “So, what do you do?”
You know the answer. You’ve spent all day doing it.

But now you’re at an event, holding a coffee, and somehow explaining your business has become the most awkward part of your week.

“Well, I used to…”
“I do a bit of…”
“I’m just…”

Five minutes later, you’ve covered your career history, maternity leave and three different versions of your offer.

The woman opposite you still isn’t quite sure what she can hire you for.

You want to explain it properly. Leave nothing out. Perhaps soften it a little so you don’t sound like you’re selling.

But she asked because she’s interested. You’re allowed to give her a straight answer.

Start with who you help and what you help her do.
“I help small business owners get their bookkeeping under control.”

Then pause. Let her ask a question.

You don’t have to fit your whole business into one breath. You’re starting a conversation.

And if you’re building that business between school runs, appointments and everything else, give yourself some credit when you introduce it.

You’re not “just” doing anything.

What would your introduction sound like without that word?
Woohoo. I’m getting out of the house more! 😅😂 Whi Woohoo. I’m getting out of the house more! 😅😂

Which sounds like a very small thing to celebrate. Until you work from home and realise most of your outings involve a childcare run or buying milk.

Motherhood can feel lonely. So can building a business.

Put the two together, and it’s surprisingly easy to spend all day doing things for people without having an actual adult conversation.

There’s an event I could attend. Someone suggests a coffee. An in-person gathering sounds lovely.

Then I look at my to-do list.

Too much to do. Too little time. I’ll go next time.

Staying home feels like the sensible choice. I could get so much done in those two hours.

But I’m noticing how much better I feel when I go.

I laugh. I hear someone else’s ideas. I talk about something that isn’t happening inside my own head.

I come home with more energy, even though I’ve technically had less time to work.

I don’t want to keep treating time with other people as something I can afford only once I’ve caught up.

So here’s a little nudge, for you and for me:

Get off your computer. Get out of the house. Have the coffee.

You deserve a break, even with things left on your list.

Hey, I’m Manouchka 👋 I’m a mom and business coach, and I spend a lot of time working from home. Getting out and being around other women building their own thing does me good. I’m making more room for it.
We told women they could have it all. Then expect We told women they could have it all.

Then expected them to DO it all. 🙄

Build a career. Make money. Be financially independent. Raise happy kids. Run the household. Stay healthy. Look good.

Be ambitious. But not TOO ambitious.

Be confident. But don’t be intimidating.

Be a good mother. But don’t let motherhood affect your work.

And if you’re overwhelmed? Well, you chose this life. Deal with it.

We’ve sold women empowerment without removing the expectations.

And when we start our own businesses to gain more flexibility? We become the CEO, marketer, accountant, salesperson AND backup childcare plan. 😅

I love being a mom. I love being an entrepreneur.

But just because we CAN do it all doesn’t mean we SHOULD have to.

Women don’t need another reminder of how strong they are.

They need support, opportunities, and permission to be human.

What’s one expectation placed on women you’d happily throw out the window?

👋 I’m Manouchka, the marketing coach behind Hey Boss Mama, helping mompreneurs build confidence, get clear on their business and make money in a way that works with mom life.
Confidence can be a fragile thing when you’re buil Confidence can be a fragile thing when you’re building a business.

One day, you’re convinced you’re on the right track.

The next, you’re questioning everything because a post flopped, a potential client said no, or you’ve spent the entire morning putting out fires instead of doing what you planned. 😅

And when you’re running your business on your own, there’s often nobody to bounce ideas off.

Nobody to tell you when you’re overcomplicating things.

Nobody to challenge you when you’re playing small.

Or remind you how far you’ve already come.

That’s one of the reasons I love masterminds.

Not because someone else has all the answers.

But because having other women around you who understand what you’re going through makes such a difference.

They ask questions you hadn’t thought of. They share their experiences. They challenge your assumptions. They celebrate your wins (including the ones you barely noticed!).

And sometimes, they give you the little push you need to finally DO the thing you’ve been putting off.

Confidence isn’t something you have to build alone.

That’s what we’re creating inside the Hey Boss Mama Mastermind. A space to think out loud, get honest feedback, make decisions and actually move forward.

Because the goal isn’t to feel confident every single day.

It’s to keep showing up, even on the days you don’t.

I’m curious: do you have people you can turn to when you’re second-guessing a business decision?
Becoming a mom launches you into a whole new versi Becoming a mom launches you into a whole new version of yourself.

And I don’t think we talk enough about how much time it takes to get to know that new person.

Last week, at Coffee with a Purpose, a woman who’s just starting her pregnancy asked our group for career advice. Many of us had changed paths several times, and she was wondering what direction to take next.

My advice? Give yourself time.

Because motherhood changes you. Your priorities, your values, your limits, what you want from life and work.

And it’s not just about having less time or more responsibilities.

Dads go through their own transformation too, of course. But as moms, there’s also the physical, hormonal and emotional rollercoaster. Your body and mind go through A LOT.

I know I’m not quite the same woman I was before having my son.

And that’s not a bad thing!

I just think there’s no need to rush into figuring out your next big career move when you’re about to go through one of the biggest changes of your life.

Maybe in a year or two, you’ll want something completely different. Or maybe not!

Give yourself permission to find out.

I’m curious, did becoming a mom change what you wanted from your career or business?
"No one is coming to rescue you." I hate that sent "No one is coming to rescue you."
I hate that sentence.

Mostly because sometimes I really would like someone to...

When you’re building a business around childcare, so much of your time depends on other people.

Whether your partner is available.
Whether childcare works out.
Whether your child is sick
Whether everyone else’s needs have been handled first.

It’s incredibly frustrating when your ambition always feels like the optional thing.

The thing you can pursue once everything else is sorted.
But everything else is never completely sorted.

Support matters. I want more of it, not less.

But nobody else can decide that my ambitions deserve space in my life.

One day, my child will need me differently.
One day, retirement won’t feel so far away.

I don’t want to look back and realise I spent years waiting for someone to tell me it was finally my turn.

So I’m learning to make decisions that include me too.
To protect time for my business.
To take my ideas seriously.
To be visible before I feel completely ready.
To make my voice heard without waiting for permission.

Being a woman in business means creating change, not waiting to be rescued.

What decision would you make if you stopped waiting for permission?
